HI GUYS I TOOK YOUR ADVICE AND TRIED OUT WAVE LAB ITS A GREAT PROG BUT WHEN I INSTAIL IT MY CD DRIVE DISAPEARS IM GUESSING I WONT B DA LAST 1 THIS WILL HAPPEN 2 SO THOUGHT ID LET U KNOW INCASE IT HAPPENS 2 SUM1 ELES LONG STORY SHORT THERES NO NEED 4 ANY 1 2 EXPLANE UNLESS U NO WHAT U TALKING BOUT GUESS I CANT USE WAVE LAB

SO DOES ANY1 ELSE HAVE ANY MORE IDEAS ABOUT STAND ALONE PROGZ I CAN USE 4 MASTERING AND ALL THAT STUFF IM RUNNING WINDOWS

Contact Steinberg support - They'll probably issue you a patch for your drive.

Then buy it. We don't take software piracy lightly here. I certainly don't. I spent a lot of money on Steinberg products (including WaveLab) and I don't appreciate those who "help themselves to a copy" illegally.

calm down buddy itz a trial version well if i buy it and they cant help me with it then itz a waiste of money no? i have also spent alot of money on equitment and products so i thought id try it out and c what itz like and if its ok for my system b4 i buy thats what trail versionz r 4 no

I wasn't aware of a trial version of WaveLab... If there is, and you're using it, I stand by my former suggestion of contacting Steinberg Tech Support.

in wavelab 5 there was a patch steinberg released for older drives......

in wavelab 6 - they fixed the problem.....
