hi mite b a silly question but ohh well....can cool edit pro b ued 2 master music...? i want 2 b able 2 arrange the tracks, apply effects to each track crossfade sum tracks and everything wave lab does

Cool Edit has no PQ editing or RedBook rendering functions (to the best of my knowledge, anyway).

Cool Edit Pro is excellent for both mixing and mastering (provided you have a few decent mastering plugins)- and the resampling/dithering engine is one of the better ones out there.... Go for it-
if you want to do cross-fading, just bunch the tracks together, do effects, render the whole thing out and split up the tracks again afterwards- then burn in nero or similar-
