So I have been busy trying to get the MIX room at least up and running. THis weekend I built out the Super chunk corners and finished the painting. Got all the traps up and man it looks great. Built a difussor panel too out of lumar wood and some 1 x 1. The board will be painted eventually. Very happy with it. Today I should be all wired up to at least hear the room. I still need a couch in the back, but I gotta find that one on Craigslist or something. All and all the room looks great. The camera I have still does not do well with the room size, but it is 16 wide by 17 deep to give you an idea. THe console pics help a little more I think.

So hopefully today I can get the gear wired up. The windows and doors (double door) go in this week or the next. I need to pull some cables still into the other rooms before I seal it al up.

Enjoy and have a great NEw Year.

Here are some new videos on the superchunk and trap installations. Sorry for the video lighting, it was late.

Thanks MUD. The corner chunks (WORK AMAZINGLY WELL) can be found at the www.basstraps.net forum. Learned a bunch there, but there are others too.

Really cool and easy thing to do to treat the room.

So here are a few pics of the room with gear in it all setup. The room sounds fantastic. Everywhere I walk it all sounds the same and pretty darn'd even. Really VERY happy with the overall turnout on the room. Windows and Doors left and then I can start the next room.

Enjoy and Happy New Year.

It took longer than I had hoped, but I did it right this time I feel. Sounds great and is starting to look cool too. The Windows will go in next week. I am trying to get some custom cable panels made for studio wiring, etc. (www.rcicustom.com)

I am fighting a sinus infection right now so I cannot tell what the bass sounds like just yet. Hoping to beat this son of a bitch by the weeks end.

Thanks for following it. The next LIVE room is next on the list.

So after much planning, the old name TBR STUDIO has been changed. The new studio will be called "MONUMENT SOUND" located in Monument, Colorado at a 7290 foot elevation I feel that the name suites me better. The TBR DAYS are gone, but remembered....

I will be posting full pics soon. New tunes up on my player. Mellow stuff, but cool.

Enjoy,

So I spurged and bought a new 40" Samsung for the Pro Tools window. I was straining too much and getting headaches. THis will help I am certain. 1080p capable. Looks fantastic. Once in the NEW MIX room I am certain that it will really add to the room. Going to get a stand to mount it on too and get everything off the console.

Enjoy.

It is pretty insane, but man it is nice to mix with. Needs to drop about 3 inches. Once I get the REAL MIX room done I will mount this on a vertical stand and put it right back behind the desk. Speakers will be new Blue Sky System 1's as well and on stands too. It is all coming together.

Thanks guys. I am trying...

The keyboard is a digidesign Pro Tools keyboard. Really slick.

As for the clips, I have a new very mellow tune on my sites player.

Website is still being built.

Off to mixing..

All,
So I have not updated any pics lately and a lot is going on. The new control room will move into a smaller, but acoustically BETTER room. The rooms sizes are as follows:

New Control room will be: 13 x 18
Live Room - existing CR - 16 x 16
Live Room 2 - 12 x 15
Vocal Booth - 6 x 7
Amp Room 12 x 13

Pretty pumped to get it buttoned up. The new CR will have a 9 x 12 wood floor with the rest carpet around it. All other rooms will be wood with rungs down. Lots to do, but getting close.

here are some new pics of the new CR under construction:

Doc - please say something about the horizontal wood slats in 2 of these latest photos – describe their function/design, etc. And thanks for posting the progress of your work here. I've been enjoying it although it definitely has triggered the envy gremlins! Waytogo
