Phenomenal!

How'd you like to tune that sucker? Wink

I'm actually looking forward to micing this little five piece Yamaha kit I picked up on Ebay... NOW.

I actually just ran into a session where I had a kick with no holes and I was wondering how I'd go about mounting a mic in a bass drum as a sort of permanent thing, as my drummer likes 2 headed kicks with no holes. do you know what kind of mounting hardware terry (or whoever else may have mounted the mics) used?

I'm utterly baffled at the general opinion regarding smoking. I don't smoke, but it's a bar, for God's sake. That's what your supposed to expect. It's a den of iniquity where people are going to indulge in all of the minor vices and sins denied to them during their mundane workdays. You can wreck your liver, ruin your hearing, get into a fight, and pick up an STD, but somehow smoking is unacceptable? Sheesh. We've turned into a nation of entitled whiners.

Actually... I've been so busy trying to get caught up with things after my 10 days in LA that I didn't even get around to saying how cool it was to meet Ronan and dirty, and hang out with Peter Montessi - and getting to record Terry and Ronan.

We listened to gear. We recorded music. We ate burritos. It went well. Life is good. : )

Sorry to say there is not as much news as I would like. I have been really swamped working on a bunch of records for other people, launching a record label (more news very soon) and setting up a short European tour.

I am almost finished with a short crazy grindcore track with me and Bozzio that is coming out on a 7 inch punk compilation.

Aw cool, let me know when that 7 inch is available!

There are a few more pics from the January HRBC/Bozzio session in my studio journal, nut'n special. I'll get some more up in due course! Dot pretty much summed it up above! Lots of music...lots of burritos. LOTS of burritos Applaud

Best of luck with the label; I'm curious to see what's cooking with that my good man!

Can I ask for some more info on that, or are you sworn to secrecy?

If only it were that exciting. I hope to finish up the track tomorrow. I think the line up for the compilation is me (with Terry Bozzio) Anthony Curtis (with Tony Levin and Lewis Pragasam) and two awesome art/grindcore bands from Seattle: The Abadox and Sean. Also it looks like it is going to be a one sided 12 inch instead of a 7 inch.
